Tidbits: "The main reason people choose us is for peace of mind or safety," Wolfe said. "Most of our customers either have kids or pets. Once you do the research and know what kind of strong and dangerous products get sprayed on lawns by other companies, you wouldn't want your kids or pets out there on the grass either."
In order to provide an alternative to the chemicals of conventional lawn-care companies, Organo-Lawn offers organic and environmentally friendly options that are often more efficient. Organo-Lawn's customers tend to be environmentally conscious people, Wolfe said.
"Some of the conventional products don't break down for a long time," he said. "When it rains, they wash off into our water, lakes and streams, and they can do a lot of weird stuff to aquatic life like fish and frogs."
While most fertilizers are made from petroleum, Organo-Lawn uses plant-based materials like corn and beets that are "not only better for the lawn but are a renewable resource as well."
"We really try to practice what we preach," Wolfe said. "Our trucks run on biodiesel, 80 percent of our energy is solar and the rest is wind power, and we recycle. We try to make it a whole company practice."
